The Busy Day

The busy day has never bothered me that much. Coming from a family that has always insisted on doing something, it comes quite naturally. I guess that's why I've never understood those who seem to constantly complain about how busy they are.

Some may hate it but I love it and today was no exception. The major task of the day was having a late morning meeting with two great people from Cinergy. The meeting lasted about half an hour and the subject was the city of Kokomo.

I found it quite interesting that they were interested in hearing what I had to say about the city I've called home for my entire life. We talked about a variety of topics including healthcare, business, and education, but the most interesting of topics was local government.

For my out of town readers, the local paper has been covering reports, recently, about the Mayor's troubles as of late with the recent freedom of information ruling by a judge and allegations over false signatures.

I couldn't help but at least chuckle when that subject came up because in all honesty, I wouldn't wish those troubles on anyone. Democrat or Republican. It will be a tough road, I'm sure. I wish him the best.

This evening was devoted almost entirely to basketball with a few breaks in between. My shots have begun to drop more and I'm able to enjoy the game a lot more due to my increased exercise. It's a great game to play with friends.

And now, I must leave you for I must get ready to watch my favorite late night host: Conan O'Brien. But, before I do so, I will leave you with one of his greatest quotes. Enjoy!

"In New York, we had primary elections for mayor. To improve their chances, all five candidates changed their name to Rudy Giuliani." -- Conan O'Brien
